Obsession! Swarovski!

I never thought I was a Swarovski crystal type of gal.  But take Kym Ellery's collection from Australian Fashion week a couple of weeks back.  I really loved the show but one of the best things was that she was sponsored by Swarovski.  So we got hands like this...

I made some socks for a photoshoot where I painstakingly stuck Swarovski crystals on sheer stocking socks.  They looked super cute.  I will post a pic soon!  They were a daintier version of these Miu Miu's.

Slightly more subtle is Acne's collaboration with Swarovski...  A choice crystal dotted around here and there with incongruous pairings..  swarovski and sweats...  I like it.  Particularly in my colour de jour.. LILAC!

I am pretty pedantic about keeping an eye on new models which is a good thing I suppose in my profession.  Juliana Forges should be watched closely...  She is going to be mega!

 

BANG!

Everyone has been freaking out about Marc Jacobs new perfume campaign for BANG!  Though it is shot by Juergen Teller, it does have a slight Tom Ford feel, particularly when they are side by side...

But it is not that much different to the Daisy campaign really... girl vs boy, backlit vs flash, mylar vs flowers... and that's about it...

I would be wearing all these right now if I could.
I would obviously have to find something worthwhile to do and get off the computer...

Rosebud... Model of the moment

I just can't get over the rosebud lips of Lindsey Wixson.  She is such a cutie.  I have read that she is only 15 which seems a bit scary but it seems that is the way of the world...

Daria... and Oroton?

It's good to hear that Australian label Oroton wants to bring back their status as an icon of Australian fashion...  And most importantly, it's good to hear they put their money where their mouth is and have shot Daria (yes, THE Daria) for their upcoming campaign... So I hear!

Colour me bad...

I think it has definitely been done (and done) and done again but I do love pastel hues on blonds.  I know a lot of the editorial shoots have been done with hair pieces but maybe it's time for a heart to heart with my hairdresser...

The other thing I am obsessed with, though it is no doubt a variation/continuation of the hair is the chalky pastel pink lip..

 And then there is Mossy..  working all of it at once.
